Both Hakuba and Niseko have great snow, but if you're an expert skier and your sole criteria for choosing your ski holiday in Japan is snow quality, particularly early in the season, Niseko is your best choice. Based on all other selection criteria, we prefer Hakuba. Hakuba offers: - better value with lower hotel rates for comparable accommodation - more variety with numerous ski fields being serviced by a free shuttle bus - a more authentic Japanese experience - spectacular views of the Japanese Alps - smaller crowds with fewer people spread across more ski runs. - close proximity to Tokyo and the snow monkey hotsprings to that you can combine skiing with other activities

Step 1 is to fly to Tokyo, either Narita airport or Haneda airport. There are numerous flights to either airport from almost anywhere in the world. ​ You can then get to Hakuba by shuttle bus, taxi or train. The quickest option is train. The cheapest and easiest option is shuttle bus. The hotel room is in a newer building hence the rooms are newer and more spacious. The budget family suite rooms are in the tudor style building with an old charm feel. The budget family suites consist of 2 small rooms with a door in between, and two ensuites (the 3 in 1 small Japanese ensuite). Both the Hotel room and Budget Suite room are comfortable and well heated.

Our breakfast area is in the tudor style building which is just next to the hotel building.

The budget family suite rooms are located in the same building as the breakfast/dining area and the family lounge/games room. The family suite is definitely more convenient for young families to access the breakfast and family lounge area where you can order pizza or take away food if you choose to stay in for dinner. You also don't have to go through the hassles of taking off and putting on your shoes (the Japanese way) if you stay in the same building. Just to note, the onsens are located in the hotel building. The 2 buildings are just right next to each other.

The ski storage and dry room is in the hotel building. If you are staying in the budger family suite, we also have a ski rack on the side of the undercovered entrance of the tudor building.

Yes, we have plenty of parking infront of the hotel and there is no extra charge for parking.
